    Nathan Poel, Architect

    Founder

    M. Arch, University of Oregon
    B.A. Interdisciplinary, Calvin University

In college Nathan traveled from Honduras to Arizona, recording the stories of migrants on their way north. That journey changed him and he dedicated his career to helping migrants find their way into their new homes. He came to Yakima through the Enterprise Rose Fellowship, a national program that embeds designers in affordable housing nonprofits. Nathan has been designing and developing multi-family homes in Washington State for ten years and started Inversion Design Build to fill the gaps he saw in the market for affordable housing. He is co-founder of Yakima Maker Space, enjoys building sea kayaks, and hiking with his son.

Nathan is a LEED Accredited Professional and a licensed Architect in Washington State.

  • Jordan Lowe headshot

    Jordan Lowe, Architect

    Architect

    M. Arch, University of Idaho
    B.S. Architecture, University of Idaho

Jordan’s work experience in central Washington began in low-income weatherization. Though energy conservation and building science were his initial interest, the human implications of housing are what he cares about most. Jordan worked for years on energy retrofits and witnessed how aging houses in rural Washington were crippling family’s economic and social lives. This compelled him to act. Working for Inversion Design Build, Jordan applies his architectural knowledge and construction experience to building new homes that are durable, safe, and affordable to operate.

Jordan is a licensed Architect in Washington State.

B.S. Urban Studies, Worcester State University

Born and raised in Yakima, Tracy is unironically enthusiastic and believes in reckless optimism. She comes to Inversion with almost a decade of data management and nonprofit experience, plus a love for Yakima. Tracy helped start the Yakima Maker Space as it’s first Fiscal Manager where she forced them into responsible financial management. She went on to earn her Bachelors of Science in Urban Studies and Masters of Science in Nonprofit Management. After spending the past six years in Massachusetts, Tracy packed up her hundreds of books, vintage Pyrex, cursive typewriter, Lego TARDIS and husband to return home to the Pacific Northwest.

Tracy is pleased that she chose a career that does not require a license.

    Construction Manager

Over the past 44 years my experience has been in high end custom home building. It is refreshing to now bring the possibility of home ownership to a wider and more diverse community. I was sold on Inversion Design Build because of their goals and philosophy. I believe it is high time that builders look not only at the bottom line but also at what the community needs. Home ownership is the path to financial independence and a more engaged society. As a company and as individuals the team at Inversion Design Build looks to level the playing field so that all people can enjoy the benefits of home ownership. Through innovative design, thoughtful communication, and a strong desire to overcome obstacles, we have the ability to make your dream of home ownership a reality.
