Mattawa Slope Phase III

Demand for farmworkers for very high. Especially around fruit harvesting time. A way for orchards to attract and retain farmworkers is through high-quality housing. The third phase of Mattawa Slope expands upon the lessons learned from the previous phases to create functional and humane seasonal housing. Bunkbeds were unpopular and COVID-19 guidelines made them unusable, cutting occupancy by half. This phase has large enough rooms for four individual beds and more secure storage options. A play field, calisthenics equipment, and raised gardening beds give residents more options for leisure, socialization, and self-subsistence.
